Jen­na holds an MFA from Colum­bia Uni­ver­si­ty and has taught cre­ative and aca­d­e­m­ic writ­ing at Uni­ver­si­ty of Toron­to Scar­bor­ough, Hum­ber Col­lege, and West­ern Uni­ver­si­ty, where she redesigned the Con­tin­u­ing Stud­ies Cre­ative Writ­ing pro­gram.

Her fic­tion, non­fic­tion, and poet­ry appear in main­stream and lit­er­ary mag­a­zines, includ­ing in the LA Times best-sell­ing The Mod­ern Jew­ish Girls’ Guide to Guilt (Pen­guin). Her awards and schol­ar­ships include Toron­to Arts Coun­cil, Bread­loaf Writ­ers’ Con­fer­ence, and Eden Mills Lit­er­ary Fes­ti­val.

Orig­i­nal­ly from Los Ange­les, Jen­na has lived in New York, Ger­many, and now makes her home in Toron­to, Cana­da.

In 2016, Jen­na found­ed One Lit Place, a full-ser­vice writ­ers’ cen­ter offer­ing cours­es and work­shops, edit­ing and coach­ing ser­vices, and a pri­vate online writ­ers lounge where writ­ers any­where in the world can net­work, exchange ideas and writ­ing, and share in the writ­ing expe­ri­ence.
